The Budan family took over the lands and turned them into natural artesian mineral hot springs for visitors at Avila Beach and Port-San Luis Harbor. The Historic Avila Hot Springs offers visitors the best possible spa treatment and nature getaway. They wanted to ensure that a Pismo Beach vacation could be as relaxing as possible. It is easily one of the to Pismo Beach attractions

Things To Do

Mineral Tub Soaks

To start, you can soak in a 104-degree natural hot spring! The old-fashioned 20’ X 20’ therapeutic hot spring is meant to relax you and ease the stress and pressure on your body. The water is heated by the geothermal energy from the Earth’s mantle, where it comes out at around 135 degrees. When it is mixed with cool fresh water, the temperature drops a little to make it more comfortable for you to soak. The water is mixed with a high concentration of different minerals to help revitalize your body. It is important to note you are only allowed to bring your children eight years and older into the hot spring.

Swimming

Swimming is one of the most fun things to do in Pismo Beach! Take a dip in their heated freshwater pool! You can lounge out on their sun deck or dive into the beautiful warm water in the pool. The pool is heated naturally from the hot spring and covered at night to retain the heat. They also provide swimming lessons if you or your children want to learn how to swim properly. Red Cross Certified lifeguards teach all courses.

Trails

Are you looking to explore nature? The Bob Jones trail is a paved pathway that follows the Pacific Coast Railroad. The trail is perfect for biking, jogging, hiking, and more! There are also bike rentals on the premises of the Hot Springs if you want to bike the trails.

Massages

The spa also offers a variety of massages to help relax, rejuvenate, and refresh your body. You can get a Swedish massage, a sports/deep tissue massage, hot stone massages, and chakra tuning massages. All their massages are meant to help you feel better and relax.
